Nuclear AMRC supply chain project set to assist Yorkshire companies

As the UK embarks on its largest ever investment in new nuclear power stations, with a total value of around £40 billion, plus a further £2.9 billion a year being spent to decommission existing nuclear plant, the civil nuclear market presents huge opportunities for manufacturing SMEs to win new business and secure a place in supply chains with global reach.

To help Yorkshire companies to assess this market, the Nuclear AMRC has established a series of one-day Nuclear Supply Opportunities workshops that will introduce companies to the nuclear industry; providing the information required to make the strategic decisions on the potential of this market.

Companies can then participate in one-to-one Nuclear Diagnostic Assessments, to measure company performance against the standards demanded by the nuclear industry and highlighting any areas for change.

The Nuclear Supply Opportunities for Yorkshire programme is free for SMEs based in the Yorkshire and Humber region, and is aimed at senior decision-makers within manufacturing SMEs.

They will be of particular interest to companies working in engineering, fabrication and welding, and manufacturers of smaller components such as valves, vessels, seals and bearings.

Workshops are held monthly at the Nuclear AMRC., on the Advanced Manuifacturing Park (AMP) in Rotherham. To book your place on the next workshop, please contact Brook Corporate Developments on 01226 240435 or via info@brookconsult.co.uk
